Shannon Pinder

Embracing a new chapter in her life, Shannon Pinder, once a Colorado snowboarder and owner of 2 successful full service Opticals, has now found fulfillment as a proud Grandma in the scenic town of Grove, Oklahoma. Her unwavering dedication lies in helping people uncover the perfect glasses that enhance their unique style and that suit their needs.

Here’s Shannon’s thoughts about Grove, OK in her own words:

“I absolutely love it. I love the small town atmosphere and friendly faces. I come from a small town, and Grove is my new home away from home.”

Shannon Pinder is an optician at Burke Eyecare, which is located in Grove, Oklahoma.

Teresa Sanborn

Receptionist

My husband, Tony Sanborn, and I moved to Grove, OK in June 2018 from Independence, KS. We finally realized our dream of living on ‘lady Grand’ was a reality. Moxie, our one year old labrador 🐕 enjoys boating ⛵ as much as we do.

I began working at Burke Eyecare in March 2023. I work at the front desk as a receptionist. When I walked in the door for my interview with Dr. Burke and Tina Handley, I knew that with the atmosphere, this was where I wanted to work. All of the staff are drama free with hearts of gold. There is a bond among us that makes the day go smoothly. Everyone in the office has their own unique personality that hopefully gives you a comfortable environment. The Burke Eyecare team tries our best to be supportive and professional.

Franklin Morris II

Lab Tech

Franklin runs our onsite optical lab where he cuts lenses to fit into eyeglass frames. Depending on the insurance used, this allows people to get their lenses cut in a more timely manner. In addition, if people decide to keep their frames but just change the lenses, Franklin can cut their lenses at Burke Eyecare in around a 30 minute period of time on a scheduled basis after we receive their lens shipment. This allows people to keep their frames with them instead of having them sent to an out-of-town lab to be processed.

To help you get to know Dr. Burke better, Franklin worked behind the scenes on creating the Ask Grove’s Eye Doctor videos on YouTube as well as the AskGrovesEyeDoctor.com website. He enjoys giving more people the opportunity to benefit from Burke Eyecare’s services via his passion with marketing.

Among other things, Franklin has fun learning Spanish and growing plants in pots.

Watch Franklin, a Burke Eyecare employee, take the 2 minute contact lens insertion challenge on day 4 of his contact lens journey.

There was laughter made in the creation of this video.
