Dr. Robert Burke

Dr. Burke has a passion for optometry because of its ability to impact patients’ ocular and overall health. Eyes are the windows to health. It’s the only part of the body where you can see the blood vessels without any imaging or surgery. Taking a close look into our eyes enables Dr. Burke to spot conditions in ocular and overall health that could be life threatening. He uses his pathology background to educate his patients on ocular and overall health and likes seeing the progression from disease to health. Also, Dr. Burke gets immediate satisfaction from seeing a person go from 20/400 vision to 20/20 vision and being able to see clearly.

Patients continue to tell us that Dr. Burke is a kind, comforting, and personable eye doctor and that they have been pleased with his thorough eye exams. Dr. Burke has helped people with all sorts of eye issues such as pink eye, removing foreign bodies from the eye, preventing full retinal detachments, dealing with parasites in the eye, and etc. He also does post surgical care for issues such as cataracts.

Dr. Caleen Burke

In addition to receiving a thorough eye exam from Caleen Burke, O.D., patients have an opportunity to receive a mini health consultation from her to be empowered with principles of optimal health. Caleen Burke, O.D. has an extensive health knowledge that spans for many years. She’s worked as an optometrist for 10 years after graduating from Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1997. After this, she became a full-time homeschool educator. During that time, Dr. Caleen took a keen interest in learning about disease, causes, and simple natural remedies to aid the body in the healing process. She has learned about the eight simple laws of health given to us by our Creator.

She’s shared some of these principles of optimal health in health lectures she’s given at the
Grove Public Library as well as the Caring Kitchen in Jay.

Back in the optometry workforce, for the last several years Dr. Caleen shares her time working as an optometrist, she also works as the business manager, handling public relations, credentialing, and human resources for Burke Eyecare.

During their mission trip to Jamaica, Dr. Caleen and her husband were thankful to provide people in this country with free eyecare services.

Dr. Caleen supports her husband and the other members of the staff in any way that is needed. She finds great enjoyment in working outdoors in the garden and finds it a real treat to serve a meal with produce fresh from the garden.
